SOLD – Randall Model 3 – 5 1/2″, made around 1947-1948
I have available a very seldom seen Randall Model 3 – 5 1/2″. This knife was first introduced in 1945 and dropped in 1948. The condition of the knife and sheath is very good. The knife blade measures 5 1/2″ in length and retains the original Randall grind and finish, light sharpening marks and typical darkening. There is light pitting on both sides of the blade. The knife is fitted with a nickel silver hilt which has red, white and blue spacers separating the hilt from the handle. The stag handle is in excellent condition and has fantastic color. It is pinned with a nickel silver pin and has a 3/4″ compass in the butt end. The compass does work ! The right hand Heiser sheath is in great condition, the stitching is intact, rivets are tight and all the translucent snaps function perfectly. The rear of the sheath is stamped with the Heiser logo and 5 1/2″. The sheath houses a white Washita stone. The stone is correct and fits in the sheath perfectly.
If Your into collecting early Randall Knives this is an extremely fine example of and early Hunter that was made for a very brief period with a 5 1/2″ blade and some early options. Thanks for viewing, Steve Zimmerman.
