SOLD – Randall Model # 1 – 7″, made 1944 – 1945

SOLD

sold – I have a very early Randall Model # 1 for sale. The knife was made around 1944 – 1945 and appears to have been carried. The knife has a 7 1/8″ carbon steel blade which has been carefully sharpened. There is sharpening scratches and light pitting in a few areas. The knife is fitted with a bronze double hilt which has five thick spacers separating the hilt from the handle. The stacked leather handle is tight to the tang of the knife and without flaws. The handle is fitted with a duralumin butt cap which is drilled for a wrist thong. The butt cap is secured with a brass washer and brass nut. The knife comes with a left hand carry sheath made by Heiser. The snaps function properly and the keeper strap is intact. The front of the sheath is stamped with the Heiser logo and 7. The sheath houses the correct Soft Arkansas stone. On the rear of the sheath one of the past owner’s neatly wrote his name in ink on the belt loop area – CD Harrison.

If Your looking to add an early Randall Model # 1 to Your collection from WWII this would make for a great addition. It’s very difficult to locate a carried knife that’s all intact. Typically the sheath is in poor condition, the stone is broken or missing or the knife is to far gone. Thanks for viewing, Steve Zimmerman.
